Volunteers at the Community Link up are dedicated people who help in various ways. They help Community Linkup with activities that are intended to improve and promote better quality of life for people with Learning Disabilities. The activities can be educational, vocational or social. Volunteers support these activities in various ways. Some will work directly with people with Learning Disabilities whilst others may provide administration support to the staff and Volunteer leads to ensure that these activities are run effectively. One example of Volunteers directly supporting people with Learning disabilities is where they help and support people at the Computer Classes.
Community Linkup Volunteers come from all paths of life. Some are professionals, some are students and some are people who are not in work and can spare some time. All come with one aim – to improve the life of people with learning Disabilities.
