How you can help Vishal Ram is one of Link Up’s young volunteers and has been involved in our work for the last year and a half. He has been doing a great job at our Saturday morning Computer Classes supporting children with learning disabilities to develop essential computer skills. Now he has decided to do a tandem SKYDIVE to raise much needed funds for all the crucial services we provide for people with learning disabilities and we are calling on all of you to support him.
Vishal with his IT buddy Joel The big event Vishal will be sky diving on 11 April 2009 with 'Skyline' and the jump location is at Chatteris Airfield near the town of March over Cambridge. What will it involve? Imagine Vishal standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in his ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine him leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go - falling forward into the clouds, diving down through the air as he starts freefalling at over 120mph! Over to you! We urge you to collect as many sponsors as you can. You can collect sponsorship donations from your family members, friends, school mates, colleagues and any organisations that you know. No amount is too small or too large. You can make your donation by any of the following means:
